what's the point of morale

I have been wondering what the morale at the top right hand corner of the screen is for since I have started playing. As far as I know it doesn't affect my ability to play poker at all. What's up with it.

I know that when it hits zero you're not supposed to be able to join tables any more. Not sure if that's true or not. Anyone else know for sure?

It gets chips out of the game and some say that they have better success doing certain things with 100% morale.

I can attest to that but I have limited test data to go with.

not sure how it would get chips out of the game except that if you run out of morale you cannot join the tables at which point you would have to spend chips to get into the bar to raise your morale.

QR, I spend chips each night to keep my morale at 100%. That is how chips are removed from the game and noobs have to spend a lot of chips in order to simply play.

If one has no poker XP when coming here, morale could be quite a negative to stay on.

morale is not a bad thing! i cant say iv eva seen it go to zero but that coz i never let it go down.... even while playing poker im still in the bar making sure its full.... gives u a better chance of winning hands and getting better cards.... not 100% but im pritty sure im right

if that's true i'll quit playing instantly, poker should be poker! if you are twisting the odds according to the time spent in a digital bar, then you destroy the poker math that good poker players will base their decisions on. and that becomes quite frankly RANDOM, and if i wanted to play a random game, i would do slots all day.

Morale helps with somethings IMHO, as I wrote, BUT not with poker and what hands you get. Just think about the code nightmare rigging hands would be and this is to be tied to something like morale?

NOT!

I have been to the bar 3 times maybe. i have never run out. my morale goes up and down depending the ratio of hands won to hands lost.
