Speeding up Internet Explorer
[1] Click “Start” and go to “Run”
[2] In the box, type “regedit” and hit enter
[3] Expand “HKEY_CURRENT_USER” as well as the following:
Software --> Microsoft --> Windows --> CurrentVersion --> (then left click on the folder) Internet Settings
[5] Look for two REG_DWORD entries “MaxConnections Per1_0Server” and “MaxConnections PerServer”
[6] Double click on these two entries and type in “8” for the value and hit “Ok”

Note:
If you do not see “MaxConnections Per1_0Server” and “MaxConnections PerServer” you will need to create them. Make sure you're still viewing the “Internet Settings” folder.
[1] Right click in the white space below and select “New”
[2] Then select “DWORD Value”
[3] Name the new REG_DWORD “MaxConnections Per1_0Server”
[4] Create another DWORD Value, and name the second “MaxConnections PerServer”
[5] Follow step 6 above
