Greatest/Most Influential Band/Artist?

Who would you consider the greatest or most influential band/artist of all time would be for music?

One of my votes would have to go to The Beatles. There are also greats like Elvis Pressley, Led Zeppelin, etc...

If you consider concerts, Queen revolutionized the rock concert into a theatrical event with costumes and lights, and also audience participation in the show. And that's aside from the contribution of Queen's studio work.

Pink Floyd gets my vote.i like how their music progressed throughout the years. What i really like is how they combined symphony and opera with rock.
i guess saying that i'd have to agree with mm also, queen kind of did the same thing.
both are EPIC groups in my opinion

ramones, sex pistols and the smiths easily had a huge part to play in the uk, us and aussie rock scene in the 70s
