Gaining interest

What's better for gaining interest, a higher interest rate or a higher balance limit?

Assuming you have a max'ed out bank account, you get more interest from raising your bank account limit (up to $2 million limit). Adding .05% doesn't add up as fast, but you need to do some of that eventually.

First you should raise limit. Every 250k more on balance gives you 1375 chips at .55% interest. You would need 2.75 million in bank to get same amount more with .05% extra interest.

To make my point. 0.55% daily interest is 640% annual interest. That is so stupid amount! Far out of this world.

Yeah I was thinking there should be a bank in real life that gives .55% daily interest rate.

this is only a game!!! why interest couldn't be 1 or 2 %... same thing (out of this world) is having a couple millions dollars earned from poker or black jack...

because it leads only to massive inflation. the end result is that there will be only tables where blinds are 5000/10000 and average pot size is count in millions. already now it is hard for new players to catch up.

good game design includes money generation and also money sinks. without efficient money sinks the game economy will go bust in no time if money is generated too fast.

like in real economy..

thats correct!! but the game is like life, rich are getting richer, poor are “giving up”. For exemple why have I feeling that only rich people in the game always get raffles...And admins and mods are fighting for new players who will continue play game, new players can't win a raffle because they have not money enough...Sadly game is like life, and let it be massive inflation, in real life is mass. infl. raise intrests on 20% make it game funnier then life...

I have a bank account that literally only gives 0.3% interest. I'd be happy if they increased it to 0.55%, lol. Besides, if you want 1% interest here, you can get it if you upgrade your bank.

deadpixel, I'd like to know where you come up with 640%. .55%=200.75% & 1.2%=438%

A Full Bank of 2M is 8.76M in interest after 365 days at 1.2% interest. While that appears like a lot, you're comparing apples to oranges when you try to compare the PRPG Bank to real life.

In real life there is no cap to the amount you can invest. If you were to invest $100,000,000 in real life you can earn a reasonable return of 9% annually, which is more than the 8.76M in interest given here.

Also, in real life, you don't need to pay a bank in order to have the opportunity to invest with them. You do need to in order to invest in the stock market, but the cost ratio is much more expensive here.

Inflation here is MUCH different than in real life, as there aren't millions of businesses on this site creating products and earning a profit.

It's not harder for new players to catch up. When I joined the site, and Deadpixel, I know you've been here a long time, there were very few ways for a player to build their bankroll. Now there are plenty of ways, which means it is easier for new players to catch. There are no opportunities taken away from new players.

Madox,

I will only speak in terms of the United States of America, as I am not going to address all other countries, and I don't know much about the government or economy of Croatia.

The rich get richer in real life, because they were obviously very wise to get rich, and continuing to use a proven method to build upon their success. The Poor maybe giving up, however here in the U.S. the poor/middle class are given a better chance to catch up.

The fact is if you don't have the max interest which cost 650 points you actually loose money when you put it in the bank. Eventually you will withdraw and that will cost you %1 so just to break even you would have to spend 450 points which is 2.7 million chips at 6k a piece. So you screwed either way because if you don't put your money in the bank the more you have it's takes it away that way as well mugged, bad luck. ect. It's just a stupid concept that when you put money in the bank you actually loose some and when I got bought it way back it did not have that %1 withdraw fee other wise I would not have wasted my points.

That is incorrect as well. Any amount you put in the bank, all you need is 2 days at minimum interest 0.55% to cover the cost of the withdraw fee. You don't lose 1% a day, just when you withdraw. The bank is no longer a place to deposit and withdraw several times a day. Which makes the multiple withdraw/deposit upgrades worthless.

ya your right did not really think about it long since I don't mess with the money in the bank much, but any money over that limit of 2 million you do loose money eventually when you withdraw.
