PRPG 4th Annual Fantasy Football League
Announcing PRPG's 4th Annual Fantasy Football League! This year's entry is bigger than ever, which also means a greaty payout as well!
The Draft will be LIVE, Sunday September 4 at NOON PRPG time.
For those of you who aren't aware of what fantasy football is, it's based on american NFL football. Each person drafts their team by choosing from the pool of NFL players. The goal is to try and pick the players that will have the best combined seasons statistically that will beat your opponents team.
This will be on yahoo free leagues, so you don't have to worry about paying any money. The only you need to play is a Yahoo account (and of course the entry fee).
Speaking of which - entry fee is 250k. Interested in joining? Buy a job token from my shop and post here or message me.
With one week to go before our draft (so August 28), I will begin sending messages to those who have signed up with the league name and password. The reason for this is so that if we end up with multiple leagues, I can try to make them relatively equal in size in an effort to keep the prize pools for each as close as possible.
You can still join after this date! We just may end up having different sized prize pools for each league if they become lopsided (The draft will still be September 4 at noon, even if you join in that last week).
Without further ado, the potential prize structure depending on how many people join!
All prizes will be 50/30/20 split of the entry pool, given to the top 3 finishers in the playoffs. Playoffs will include weeks 14/15/16.
6 team league (1.5 million):
1st = 750k
2nd = 450k
3rd = 300k
8 team league (2 million):
1st = 1 million
2nd = 600k
3rd = 400k
10 team league (2.5 million):
1st = 1.25 million
2nd = 750k
3rd = 500k
12 team league (3 million):
1st = 1.5 million
2nd = 900k
3rd = 600k
I'll try to keep leagues as big as I can while staying close to even. If I do have to make uneven leauges, know that those who entered earlier (based on time you bought the token) will be entered in the league with the bigger pool.

I'll join if it's points per reception and a point for every 10 yards. Last year it was a point for every 25 yards and no points per reception. Which is nothing like the norm and drafting great players really meant nothing unless they scored.

Luny: Last year (and I believe all the other years as well) I believe we just used the Yahoo default scoring. If we want to do PPR this year, then I'm fine with that.

I'm in! this time I am starting weak and finishing strong!  And I agree with camper.. stop whining about something that will not change. Football to Americans is the only true football... football to the world is soccer. Get over it... it will not change and not any amount of whining will make a difference... you just look like a bad spirited brat who needs to hi-jack someone else's thread! Debate it somewhere else with people who give a rat's ass. If you would like to join the football league, this is the 4 year we have done it and it is pretty fun as long as folks continue to participate all season long. Here's to not getting some bonehead who gets injured first week! or sucks ass when he is supposed to be good! :P
