Tables v4.0 Beta Update Thursday, May 28. 2009
Thank you everyone who has been helping out with the beta test. I have gone through all of the e-mails and every bug submitted. All of the bugs submitted to me should now be fixed; however, I am sure there are still at least a couple out there yet to be found. Keep sending any bugs you find to bugs@pokerrpg.com. I think a focus point should be testing the side pots to the limits. posted by James :: Comments (3)
Vote @ MPOGD Wednesday, May 27. 2009
I have added MPOGD.com to the vote list. It isn't for any points, but if we get to #1 for the month, we can expect to see the number of players at the tables double helping to keep those dull times with low table levels to a minimum. If you want to help out the site, go to http://mpogd.com and click on "VOTE" to the bottom left of the top 5 games list on the front page, or you can click on the link from the Free Points page. posted by James :: Comments (18)
Tables v4.0 Mass Beta Test Tuesday, May 26. 2009
It has been around a year and a half since the last major new release of the poker tables. There have been a lot of tweaks and attempted bug fixes throughout that time. It became quite apparent that the current v3 is about as good as it can get due to limitations of the code, so I decided to recode the entire poker backed from the ground up, improving the structure of the system, eliminating 80% of the overhead, and streamlining performance. You won't see much visual difference between versions 3 and 4, but the performance and small fixes here and there should speak for themselves. In order to avoid past mistakes, I have setup a beta test of the new tables to clear out any remaining bugs in the system before replacing the current tables. I am offering all of you the chance to get one of those 'Beta Tester' achievements. In order to get an achievements, you must be the first to submit a valid bug -- send all bugs to bugs@pokerrpg.com and include your username if you want credit. I encourage you to do anything and everything you can think of to try and break the system, I want the new tables to be rock solid and completely polished when they replace the current tables. New Features/Fixes: - Entirely recoded backend - Much improved responsiveness and speed - Improved action text - Ability to view your folded cards by placing your mouse over your status - Slight visual tweaks - Added new action sounds - Users leaving the table will not be removed from the table until a hand is over if they are in the hand - New rebuy system that works and looks much better - Fixed screen size for multiple browsers - Improved pre-turn options - Fixed pre-turn call bug - Fixed side pot system - When a player goes all in and is called by someone with less chips, the difference is given back - Winning hands are announced correctly in the actions window - Various other bug fixes posted by James :: Comments (18)

Backend Updates Thursday, May 21. 2009
I am working on revamping a lot of the behind the scenes code to make the site more efficient. This has started with changing how some of the backend works for various functions around the site, and will move on to redo a lot of the code running poker tables (in order to clear out remaining bugs). Some of these changes could cause issues with other features around the site. I think I have corrected any issues, but if you notice something, leave a comment. posted by James :: Comments (14)
