GoldFire 2.0

Just about 5 years ago we released the GoldFire Network to tie our games and each of their communities together. Over the last 6+ months, we've been hard at work rebuilding this platform using everything we've learned in that time. Today, we are excited to announce the launch of GoldFire 2.0, which is a complete re-build of that platform.

There's too much to cover here, so we wrote a blog post going in-depth on the major feature additions and enhancements. All of these improvements serve as a solid base to begin further improving all of the GoldFire Studios games moving forward.

Holiday Hunt 2016

Holiday Hunt 2016 is here at last! The holidays are a festive time at PokerRPG, and this holiday tradition marks the continuation of that. What better way to celebrate than with lots of new items?! This year's hunt will last from today through January 6, 2017 @ 11:59pm.

There are 8 new items available, with 6 being found randomly around the game and in the poker credit store. The Chess Board item will be available for a limited time as an exclusive item, and for every 100 Gold purchased, you will get a Backgammon Board item (for example, 500 Gold = 5 items).

Server Updates

Both the code and the physical server that the poker/blackjack tables are running on have been updated to fix various lag and freezing issues. The lag was also leading to other random bugs that should now be fixed (or at a minimum improved). Quite a few areas had to be updated to be compatible with the newer server, so be sure to let us know if you see any further issues from this update.

Wow, it is hard to believe it has been 10 long years since this little idea for a poker site turned into PokerRPG! Most games don't even last a few years, so it is a true testament to the community that PokerRPG has been able to endure all of these years. Who knows what the future will hold :)

Yellow Paint Bucket

Bug Fixes

Table items can once again be purchased on Blackjack tables just like on Poker tables. A bug in poker bounty games that sometimes displayed an Infinity payout has been fixed. There's also been several updates to the backend to help with stability/speed of poker.

Blackjack Freezing Fix

There was an issue where it was possible for a Blackjack table to freeze if someone was playing on 2 Blackjack tables at the same time. The issue causing this has now been located and fixed to prevent this from being an issue.
