I would also like to mention that you see the name Rigs listed as a moderator. He is not a point of contact for the site at all. For those that do not know Rigs was the original one and only moderator for this site in its infancy. He is a legend and I personally feel that leaving him listed as a moderator even though he has left the site is something he earned.

Downtime

Sorry everyone for the downtime there. I did a local backup of the site, so that I can make a secured testing copy of pokerrpg, so that I can go about changing and testing and adding without effecting your gameplay ever again! Thank you all for your patience, again I am very sorry for this!

Fixes and Changes for today.

All the following fixes and changes were done today.
- Banner Ad system: change to a new, more customizeable advertisement system. (Banners made by Spawn21!)
- Remove white tokens from pool
- Change Quistons_Report to Moderator
- Move radio link in PRPG
- Remove blank/non-existant items from backpacks
- Remove donation reward for Green Tokens into the pool
- Fixed the ability to join games even when banned (by use of direct URL access); this will no longer be an issue.
- Fix Trade Bug

Updates pertaining to STAFF
- Updates support area so that all tickets can be seen at once.

Feedback Needed

Ok guys we need your feedback. We have identified the main issue the site has had with server lag. It is the Chat system. Needless to say we have a need to make a change to the way chat works in order for our site to be able to withstand as many users as possible.

We are thinking of changing chat to an embedded Java version of MIRC which will still mean that it stays where it is but people will need java to run it.

Any input is appreciated.

Welcome to the new Poker RPG. For those that did not know or haven’t read the announcements in the last several days, DreamBurst Studios has reached an agreement to purchase this website and its content. My intent with this announcement is to give you an idea of where the site is currently at, along with any changes in policy and the way things will be handled going forward.

The first thing you need to know is who is our new game staff and how do you get your issues resolved. The principle owners of DreamBurst Studios, LLC are Vorlen and Wiles. We are handling the day to day operations and coding issues of this site. In an effort to keep the site running smoothly going forward and to ensure your needs, issues and complaints are being tended to we are instating a simple rule regarding all issues. Do not mail or contact the owners directly with your issues. This may seem a bit harsh, but being a veteran user of this site I know how frustrating it can be to mail the owner and get no response. The simple fact is that even in the last few days if I am offline for more than a few hours I have had upwards of 50 mails in my inbox at a time. Our focus is to make the site better for you and we can’t be making fixes and changes if we spend all day replying to mails.

So what should you do and whom should you contact?

Player issues: If you have a player issue you should contact a Moderator. Our Moderator team consists of the following users:

Our Moderator team is headed up by our new General Manager Leahrat. Leahrat has been a Moderator on this site for a very long time and is the best possible choice for overseeing all moderator functions. She is the final word on player related issues. She has the full support of DreamBurst and we look forward to working with Leahrat in her new expanded role.

Technical Issues/Suggestions: If you have a technical issue or suggestion for the site you should contact our Head Public Administrator.

Cynic is our HPA.

One major change in the way this site will operate is the fact that we will now have a Head Public Administrator. Most of you may not know him but he is well known to the DreamBurst family and he is going to be a great asset for this site and its users. Get to know him.

One thing you should be aware of. If you expect a refund of chips or an item. Cynic is not an ATM and he has requirements for you to receive a refund. Your mail MUST contain the following. Table #, Hand # and if at all possible a screenshot of the hand in question. To put it simply we can’t just take your word for it that it went badly for you and we need to be able to identify any bugs that may have caused the issue so we can get those fixed and make your experience here even better. I know it is a challenge to get the hand # on occasion, we are working on something to make that an easier process for you.

These processes will be new to you and we understand it will take a little time to get used to, please try to understand the best way for us to get this site running smoothly is for us and you to rely on our new staff.

What will we try to accomplish in the short term?

Goal #1 already appears to be a success the 10 second server time outs have gone by the roadside with the move to our new server.

Goal #2 Bugs, Bugs and More Bugs! We are going to try to identify and eliminate the many bugs that have been plaguing the site for some time now. We realize it is important to add new content and that will not be lost in this transition. Right now it is our goal to identify and repair 5 bugs for every game addition we bring on board.

Goal #3 Changing the culture of poker rpg. There will no longer be a blind eye turned to the use of exploits and cheats. If you gained your chips using or abusing bugs you will not be happy with some of the changes we are going to be bringing forward. You will be able to read more about this in the coming days as we clearly define some new policies and guidelines. Also multiple accounts will no longer be tolerated. If you have more than one account coming from your IP address watch for a coming announcement in regards to this change in policy enforcement and be sure to follow the instructions when the new announcement comes out.

I know that some specific questions have been asked of Vorlen and I regarding prizes and what is happening with them currently. In the next day or so we will be going through the database and figuring out how many gift cards are currently pending. Once we have that information we will come up with some sort of plan in regards to getting this worked out for those that have ordered them. We need to see what the totals are on the gift cards that are pending. Just a reminder that while we will work to ensure that each of our users are taken care of this is something that was ordered from the prior owner of the site and though we will make every effort to make this right by you, our responsibility in this matter is limited. The bottom line is we want you guys to be happy and continue gaming here and on all of our DreamBurst games and we will do all that we can to ensure that you want to do so as well.

Another question is why is the prize page down? The prize page is down for a very good reason. Quite simply in my mind and having been on the site long enough this process was not working the way it should. I don’t think it is right for us to leave a process up on the site if it is not working for both you and us. We are working on coming up with a new system for prizes that should make everyone happy.

We have some fun events planned for you guys coming in the future including Beat the Staff games and the World Series of Poker RPG, but with all of the bugs and changes coming all we can ask of you is for your patience while we try making this site a better place for all of our users. This change is not a miracle pill that is going to fix the site issues over night. We will work hard for you and try to keep you informed as things change.
