The icons for messages and recent events have been updated. They now match the black of the news, profile, and pad icons when you have unread messages and events, and if you don't have any, they will be somewhat transparent, but still visible.

New notifications system

The recent events and messages notification system has been completely redone to be much easier to access these features as well as to tell when you have new messages and recent events.

A new yellow badge counter will show next to the icons for messages and recent events (which will always be present now). These will also update twice as fast as the icons appeared before when you got a new message or recent event.

The recent events have received the biggest overhaul. You can now view your recent events by simply clicking the icon, no need to leave the current page. The last 10 events will be displayed in a drop down, but you can of course go to the full page to see them all. There is no option to delete events anymore as they will get automatically removed after 90 days.

New Main Tournament

A new Main Tournament has been added to the schedule: 100 Billion Chips Tournament. As the title suggests, the buy-in is 100,000,000,000 chips. Signups will be open for 24 hours to allow you enough time to scrap together enough to enter the tournament. First place will receive 810 billion chips. Enjoy the tournament, and good luck, it should be intense!

Passwords

I posted this when it happened, but I guess a lot of people didn't see the post. It has been confirmed that the hacking from a few weeks back was successful in accessing the passwords of most users, so it is important that everyone change their password immediately if you haven't already within the past few weeks.

Just to reiterate, the security hole that let this happen was fixed and other measures were put in place to make sure it didn't happen again. To go even further, even if a hacker did somehow compromise the system again, it would now be impossible for them to actually steal the passwords due to the new level of encryption.

MT merging bug fix

A bug has been fixed that would cause a user to get stuck at an empty table if they lost connection when the tables merged to the final table.

Blinds while away bug fix

Sometimes when a user joined a cash game and sat away immediately, they would pay the big blind on the next hand while away, which has now been fixed.

New Feature: Table Items

A new feature has been released across all game formats (Poker, Blackjack, Liar's Dice) that allows for further customization of how your virtual self while at the tables. The initial release of this feature provides 12 different items that you can buy for yourself or other players at your table to show next to your Poker Face. More items will be released over time as well to provide greater variety. In order to view or purchase these, simply put your mouse near the edge of your Poker Face while at a table, and an icon with a coffee cup will appear.

Away auto kick

If a player is sitting away at a cash game for 20+ minutes, they will now be automatically removed from the table to make room for other players that may be waiting (this is 20 straight minutes, not cumulative).

Hidden Chips Chest revamped

The Hidden Chips Chest feature has been redone to be less impossible and thus more fun and rewarding. A small "chips chest" image will now show the location of the Hidden Chips Chest, still hidden somewhere on a random page of the site.

In addition to this change,t here are now 3 new achievements for finding this multiple times.

Mission tweak update & Player Raffles upgrade

There was a typo in the last tweak for missions that messed up the chip reward for some missions. This has now been fixed, and you should now see a noticeable difference from yesterday.

A new upgrade has been added for non-donators to be able to post some player raffles. It is more cost effective to post them if you are a donator, but if you don't want to or are unable to be a donator, you now have an option with points with one-off purchases.

Fisher-Yates shuffle on The Odds & Raffles

The Odds, Raffles, and Player Raffles have been updated to use the Fisher-Yates shuffle that was implemented into Poker and Blackjack a few weeks back. This offers the truest randomization possible, so there should be no dispute over the fairness of a drawing in any of these features.
